The Report of the Communication
Centre of
the Syndicate of Workers of Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company-Vahed |
In conjunction with the previous activities and news, we should inform you of increased pressure on the members of the Syndicate of Workers of Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company-Vahed. This includes the closure of our members’ bank accounts and stoppage of their payments. There is a rumour that the government of the Islamic Republic is planning to prosecute our members, especially Mr. Mansour Osanloo. Mr. Osanloo’s suffering from eye problems is worrying and we are concerned that he is still in solitary confinement. In a meeting with the mayor of Tehran, Ghalibaf, he promised to use all of his executive power to respond to our requests and secure Mr. Asanloo’s release. The members of Syndicate of Workers of Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company-Vahed, gave him the ultimatum that if our requests are not heeded, we will go on strike again. Furthermore, we requested meeting with Judge Mortazavi.
We are calling on all workers and freedom lovers of the world for support and solidarity.
