Second Seminar
The massacre of the political prisoners in Iran.

In 1979, Iran changed from a monarchal capitalist to a religious capitalist (Islamic) regime. Repression, imprisonment, torture and executions of the Iranian people continued under the new regime.
During the 1980s, the Islamic regime massacred thousand and thousands of political prisoners. One such atrocity occurred during the summer of 1988, where thousands of political prisoners were executed, without due process or any kind of formal trial.
At present, there are thousands of political prisoners in Iran, being tortured and are in immanent danger of being executed.
The radical and left-wing exiled ex-prisoners are continuing to fight against the Islamic regime. They held the first seminar in the summer of 2005. Now they are preparing a second seminar to be held on August 24-26th, 2007, in Cologne, Germany.

The following subjects will be discussed:

1 - The workers movements and political prisoners
2 - The women's movements and political prisoners
3 - The discrimination and repression of the indigenous people's movements (Kurds, Baluch and others) and the political prisoners
4 - The youth movements (students) and political prisoners
